Shawbrook Bank scoops Moneyfacts savings award

Shawbrook Bank has been named Best Notice Account Provider by Moneyfacts. Challenger bank Shawbrook was up against seven other well-known businesses within its sector.
It was also commended in the category for Best Bank Savings Provider.
James Blower, Director of Savings at Shawbrook, was thrilled with the news.

Shawbrook launched in 2011 and is one of the UK’s leading challenger banks with approximately 40,000 customers (principally SMEs and individuals), c £1bn of assets and a national presence through its distribution channels.
With a depositor base of in excess of 29,000 personal and small business customers, the bank posted an underlying profit of £2.6m in the 12 months to 31 December 2012. Its deposits soared some 513% to £924m last year, from £180m the previous year.
A highlight of the personal finance calendar, the annual Moneyfacts ceremony presents awards to those companies that have consistently offered the most competitive products and brands while demonstrating the greatest innovation in the business and commercial finance world during the past 12 months.
It is held in high regard by banks, building societies and other financial service providers. Rigorous product monitoring is carried out throughout the preceding year and the broker community is also consulted for their feedback.
The awards were hosted by Scottish Sky Sports presenter Jim White.
